I specialize in chromosome work and have done projects involving Drosophila inversion clines and physical mapping. I am currently working on a joint project with Melbourne, Canberra and Monash funded by SIEF. The project’s aim is to look at the genomic basic of the adaptation to climate change across multiple groups and species. Numerous Drosophila and Scaptodrosophila species are being used in this project and I am checking relevant inbred lines for inversion polymorphism since this is a hindrance to genome sequencing.
